Scientific Games Centralizes EMEA Division

Scientific Games has centralized its European headquarters in Barcelona, Spain, which will now be the supplier’s hub for sales and service in the EMEA region. Marco Herrera (l.), managing director of gaming, EMEA, says the plan will leverage combined knowledge of the company.

Diversified gaming supplier Scientific Games Corporation announced that it has centralized its European division in Barcelona, Spain, and will discontinue redundant functions at its office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, by December 31.

The Barcelona facility will now be the central hub for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) sales, service, support and manufacturing for the company’s Bally, Shuffle Master and WMS product brands.

“Our business in the EMEA region is strong and growing,” said Marco Herrera, managing director of gaming, EMEA for Scientific Games. “We are excited to have our EMEA operations centralized in Barcelona, where we have the proper infrastructure to support our customers, along with a world-class showroom to highlight our trailblazing product innovations.

“We are looking forward to bringing our talented teams from our legacy companies under one roof to enhance communication and leverage the combined knowledge of our strong product brands.”

The company will maintain localized sales, field support, product support and product development personnel across the EMEA region, including Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Slovenia, South Africa and the United Kingdom.

Herrera leads Scientific Games’ EMEA team, along with Jon Lancaster, executive director of sales, EMEA; Stelios Tsapatos, Europe sales director; and Wavell Alexander, South Africa sales director. Together, the team brings more than five decades of industry experience/
