Shepherd Leaving Silver Heritage

Silver Heritage President and co-founder Tim Shepherd is ending his 14-year career with the ASX-listed casino developer and operator. But he’s agreed to stay on as a consultant to help get the company’s long-awaited Tiger Palace resort off the ground in Nepal.

Silver Heritage co-founder Tim Shepherd has resigned after 14 years with the Asia-focused casino development and management company.

Shepherd was president of business development and marketing. No reason was given for his departure. He is officially stepping down on September 30, the company said in a filing with the Australian Stock Exchange.

He has agreed to continue as a consultant advising on the completion of the company’s new US$50 million Tiger Palace resort in Nepal, which is slated to open in phases beginning in September.

“Tim has given a great deal to Silver Heritage since we started the business, and his experience across Asia and in particular India and Nepal means the company will benefit from his guidance through the opening and launch of Tiger Palace and in the ramp-up phase into 2018,” said CEO and Managing Director Mike Bolsover.

Shepherd said, “I will continue to help Silver Heritage wherever I can in the months to come. Asia remains the most exciting gaming market on the planet, and I am very much staying in the industry, based out of Hong Kong.”

The same filing also announced the appointment of Robert Benussi as an additional independent non-executive director effective August 7.

The company described Benussi as experienced in finance, corporate advisory, stockbroking and business development.
