Macau gaming concessionaire SJM Resorts has elevated former chief financial officer Ben Toh Hup Hock (l.) to the rank of chief operating officer. The former Sands China executive joined SJM in 2020.

SJM Resorts Appoints Toh as New COO

On December 6, SJM Resorts announced the appointment of its former chief financial officer, Ben Toh Hup Hock, as the company’s new chief operating officer. The appointment was effective immediately.
Toh was previously with Sands China. He joined SJM in 2020, initially as chief operating officer for finance and development. He was then named chief financial officer in early 2021, reported Inside Asian Gaming.

Christopher Ip Shih Ming will move into Toh’s former position as CFO. Ip has experience in investments, real estate transactions and corporate finance and previously held senior management positions at the Jardine Matheson Group, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank.

Most recently, he was an executive director and CFO of Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels Ltd., a post he held from January 2021 to March 2023.
