Sky Betting & Gaming Joins Senet Group

Sky Betting & Gaming became the first online-only gaming company to join gaming industry watchdog the Senet Group, and says the partnership will help to develop online gaming regulations, while also demonstrating Sky Betting & Gaming’s commitment to integrity and honesty in the gaming industry. The Senet Group says the partnership will help it to develop an online gaming code of conduct.

Sky Betting & Gaming has become the first online-only gaming operator to join gambling watchdog Senet Group.

Joining the watchdog group helps with the development of online gaming regulations, while also demonstrating Sky Betting & Gaming’s commitment to maintaining gaming integrity and honesty.

“Remote gambling is the fastest growing sector of the industry, with innovations being developed regularly. It’s therefore particularly important that we will have a leading operator in this space to inform the development of our code of conduct,” Senet Group Chair Wanda Goldwag said.

As a new member of the Senet Group, Sky Betting & Gaming will be given a three-month ‘grace period’ to comply with all Senet enforceable commitments.

“The gambling industry has definitely upped its game on social responsibility issues over the last 12 months, and the Senet Group has been a key part of those efforts,” said Sky Betting & Gaming CEO Richard Fling.

“There’s obviously still further room for improvement but I’m really looking forward to helping shape the group’s work on online gambling issues.”

Senet Group plans to run campaigns in 2016 to help make gamblers aware of the signs of problem gambling and how to keep their betting under control.
