Mayback Kim Eng says Resorts World Genting’s Sky Plaza Casino, due to open next year, will boost Genting Malaysia’s profit by MYR150 million (.3 million) per year.
In a note, the research group said for every 10 percentage-point share of GGR that shifts from VIP to premium mass, RWG will increase its net profit by MYR150 million per year.“This segment will also benefit if Mainland Chinese individuals are granted visa-free access into Malaysia,” the note said.
Phase I of Genting’s Integrated Tourism Plan also should be complete by the end of 2016 and its 423-room Theme Park Hotel at RWG will also open by then.
