Snyder To Leave Gaming and Leisure Properties

Real estate investment trust Gaming and Leisure Properties Inc. (GLPI) has announced that Chief Financial Officer Steven Snyder will leave his position August 31.

Snyder has served as both interim and permanent chief financial officer since May 2018. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president, corporate development when GLPI was spun off from Penn National Gaming in November 2013.

GLPI Chief Executive Officer said Peter Carlino said Snyder played an important role in “building the foundation for what Penn National has become and in helping to create the gaming industry’s first REIT. “I have worked side by side with Steve for more than 20 years, first at Penn National and for the last seven years at Gaming and Leisure Properties.”

Carlino added, “We have a deep bench of REIT-experienced finance executives at GLPI which leaves us in a fantastic position to continue our growth.”

GLPI hired Korn Ferry to lead a search for Snyder’s successor, including internal and external candidates.
