Soaring Eagle Casino Unveils Renovations

Officials from the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe and Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in Mount Pleasant, Michigan recently cut the ceremonial ribbon opening the casino’s new high limit poker room and VIP lounge, both part of the first phase of a $26.5 million renovation. The project is among the largest investments in the property since it opened in 1997. Soaring Eagle Chief Executive Officer Ray Brenny said, “This transformation is one of many more to come. I’m pleased with the results that I’m seeing from the steadfast efforts of I5 Design Company and the construction teams. Tremendous progress was seen week after week, so I’m not surprised that it’s two weeks ahead of schedule.”

Brenny said upcoming changes will include a new sports bar and nightclub, renovating the entertainment hall, enclosing and installing a new ventilation system in a non-smoking area, redesigning Kid’s Quest & Cyber Quest areas, relocating the poker room and rebranding the sub sandwich shop. The entire project will be completed by September 2018.

Brenny said the tribe undertook the project after surveying customers and studying other Native American casinos in Michigan.
