Spectrum Forms Sports Betting Group

Spectrum Gaming last week announced the formation of SG2, a group designed to help states navigate legal sports betting. The group will serve as consultants to the states.

Spectrum Gaming Group and Spectrum Gaming Capital have announced the formation of Spectrum Gaming Sports Group, or SG2, to help states, operators and providers address sports betting. Spectrum Gaming Group Managing Director Michael Pollock said, “Spectrum is committed to advancing best practices in all facets of gaming, and that need is particularly acute in the burgeoning sports-betting arena. We are prepared to assist legislatures, regulators, gaming companies and sports betting companies understand and bring about sports betting in its best forms in the U.S.”

Spectrum Gaming Capital Chief Executive Officer Robert Heller added, “A robust sports betting platform and business will be a key element of virtually every gaming operator’s customer offering and will require strong technological capabilities and capital to execute.”

Spectrum recently wrote the Rhode Island Lottery RFP to select a sports betting service provider for the state; projected sports betting revenue for the Washington State Gambling Commission; projected statewide daily fantasy sports and online gaming revenue for a Northwest Native American gaming operation; and researched and modeled a comprehensive online sports betting business for major European company.
