Swiss-based sports betting data firm Sportradar has appointed Eric Conrad as managing director for strategic partnerships and content, North America. The role was created specifically for Conrad, who previously served in executive positions at ESPN and Univision.
As part of his new role, Conrad will now oversee Sportradar’s U.S. Sports Content and Partnerships (SCP) division, which has already secured partnerships with the NBA, MLB and other prominent sports organizations. According to the company, Conrad will also consult with media and betting partners to optimize profits and explore new opportunities.
Sportradar’s Chief Commercial Officer Eduard Blonk said in a statement that Conrad “ has the leadership track record and experience we believe are critical to lead the regional SCP team, including the ability to forge additional partnerships, a strong focus on value creation with the sports fan in the center and a focus on delivering value to our customers.”
Prior to joining Sportradar, Conrad served as executive vice president of sports programming and acquisitions for Univision, where he was responsible for securing sports rights partnerships and sponsorship deals with various leagues and organizations. Conrad also worked in similar positions for ESPN.
