Visitors age 18 and older now may gamble at the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin’s casinos in Danbury, Hertel and Turtle Lake, located in the northwest part of the state. Previously players had to be age 21 or older. The new lower age limit took effect June 8.
St. Croix Casino Turtle Lake General Manager Leva “Dino” Oustigoff Jr. said, “This is not a decision we arrived at lightly, but in the final analysis, we looked to our competitors in Minnesota, where 18-plus has always been the age requirement. The 18-plus policy has worked well for Minnesota casinos. We’re confident that it will also work well at our casinos.”
Thanks to the new policy, guests age 18 and older will be able to attend concerts and special events offered at Turtle Lake.
