Tahoe Beachfront Property to Become Casino Resort

EKN Development Group has purchased the Beesley Cottages lakefront Tahoe property in Tahoe Vista. The California-based company previously bought the venerable Tahoe Biltmore Lodge & Casino and both properties are slated for a luxury casino resort project to be dubbed “The Beach Club.”

EKN and its partners Garn Development and Stack Real Estates paid $18 million for the lakefront property.

EKN President and CEO Ebbie K. Nakhjavani said in a statement: “The Beesley Cottages acquisition stands as yet another testament to our dedication in bringing this project to life. We are very excited to be a part of this community and to enhance the experience of our project. Our collaboration with local partners and stakeholders will include listening sessions and town hall meetings to continuously engage with members of the community. We want to ensure that there is a clear understanding of our vision, timelines, and what to expect as plans come to fruition.”

The project will include a new casino, 120-room hotel, retail shopping and 80 unit condominiums.

The Beesley Cottages property will be developed into a luxury beachfront clubhouse, according to the company. It will be used for events and weddings and also rent beach cabanas and boats.

The developer also plans to build new roads around the project and offer a shuttle service.
