Tropicana Atlantic City Announces Restaurant Deal

Tropicana Atlantic City has announced a new restaurant development deal with Philadelphia based Chef Jose Garces. The casino also announced the opening of a new nightclub scheduled for June, including Kiss Kiss A Go-Go by Ivan Kane.

Philadelphia-based celebrity chef Jose Garces will develop multiple restaurants at Tropicana Atlantic City under a deal announced by the casino.

Garces will develop multiple seafood focused concepts located right off the casino floor. The to-be-named venues are slated to open by the end of 2016, the casino said in a press release.

“Atlantic City is a natural extension of our deep Philadelphia roots. We have a great affinity for the Jersey shore and Atlantic City in particular. We are so excited to be back,” said Garces. “We look forward to the opportunity to bring our brand of Latin-inspired hospitality to the Tropicana and provide fun, new dining options to its guests.”

Graces is the 2009 winner of the James Beard Foundation’s “Best Chef Mid-Atlantic” award and one of only a few chefs in the country to hold the coveted title of Iron Chef.

The casino also announced that Ivan Kane’s Kiss Kiss a Go-Go will open at the property June 16th.

Renowned nightlife innovator Ivan Kane has promised “a trip down the rabbit hole into the neon-fueled nights of Bangkok.”
