Trump Casinos Fined in New Jersey

Trump Entertainment Resorts has been fined by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement for not notifying the state about a customer assault. The company also has to pay $2,600 won by underage gamblers.

Trump Entertainment has run afoul of New Jersey regulators for problems concerning an assault of a customer at one of its Atlantic City casinos and for allowing underage gambling.

The company must forfeit $2,648 won by gamblers later found to be underage at Trump Plaza. The fines involved 22 players from December 2012 through May 2014. Trump Plaza closed September 16, 2014.

The largest of the prizes was $1,800 won at a roulette table by an underage patron in December 2012, according to the Associated Press.

The underage patrons were later identified by casino security and they had to hand over their winnings. The money now goes to a state fund for seniors and the disabled.

The company also was fined $3,000 for not reporting an attack on a patron at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in June 2014 by five people that left the victim hospitalized with multiple injuries, including facial lacerations.

While police were called and an arrest made, the casino did not notify the DGE of the incident.

Trump Entertainment declined to comment on the incidents to the AP.
