In Oklahoma, the Cherokee Nation held a grand opening for its new six-story, 120-room hotel at the Cherokee Hotel & Casino Roland (l.). In Braman, the Kaw Nation held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the completion of phase two of its SouthWind Casinos' expansion.

Two Oklahoma tribes—the Cherokee Nation and the Kaw Nation–recently celebrated grand openings at their casino properties.

At the Cherokee Nation’s Cherokee Hotel & Casino Roland, a grand opening was held at the new six-story, 170,000 square foot, 120-room hotel.

Principal Chief Bill John Baker, Cherokee Nation Businesses Chief Executive Officer Shawn Slaton and Cherokee Nation tribal councilors attended the festivities.

In Braman, a news conference and ribbon-cutting ceremony commemorated the completion of phase two of the Kaw Nation’s SouthWind Casinos’ expansion. The project, which created 47 new jobs, expanded the gaming floor by 10,000 square feet, adding 300 new games and the 24-hour 231 Bistro & Bar.
