Camelot Group has come up with a new September schedule for the National Lottery, hoping to boost sales to help recover from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.

Known as the Big September makeover, the National Lottery will host three ‘’Must be Won” draws, giving retailers further weekly millionaire picks to promote, according to SBC News.

Camelot also issued a new lotto rule, as players who match two numbers in “Must be Won” draws will be rewarded with a £5 prize and a Free Lucky Dip, should the main jackpot not be matched by six numbers. Before, the jackpot was shared between cash prize winners.

The National Lottery kicks off its Big September by hosting a £20 million “Must be Won” draw, which will be closely followed by two back-to-back EuroMillions jackpots—one which guarantees 20 millionaire prizes and one with a promises a jackpot of over £100 million (US$132.2 million).

“In terms of Lotto, the changes we made a couple of years ago are continuing to prove really popular,” said Camelot’s Commercial Director, Neil Brocklehurst.
