Ukrainian Gaming Week Set for October

The Ukrainian government legalized regulated gaming in the country on August 13. Now interested operators, officials, suppliers and others will meet at the Kyiv IEC October 6-7 for the country’s first gaming trade show.

Bill 2285-d, signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky, concerns “state regulation of activities related to organization and conduct of gambling.” The inaugural trade show will center on how the law will be enforced, how much revenue that legalization will bring to both the state and private sector and how international operators can enter the fledgling market.

The event is being organized by Smile-Expo. It will include a two-day exhibition spanning 5,000 square meters (54,000 square feet) and hosting more than 100 vendors, as well as expert conference panels, open lecture sessions, the first UGW Awards and a closed-door VIP party. Three thousand people are expected to attend.

Exhibitors will include software developers, gambling hardware manufacturers, affiliate networks and programs, banks, payment aggregators, consulting and law companies, marketing agencies, and many others.
