UNLV Creates Gaming Intelligence Program

Las Vegas-based technology firm eConnect has made a contribution to the University of Nevada Las Vegas to help establish a train program for the “next wave of loss prevention analysts.” The eConnect Associate Analyst program is already under way.

Technology company eConnect of Las Vegas has announced that it has made a contribution to the University of Nevada Las Vegas’ Center for Gaming Research to establish the eConnect Associate Analyst program to offer training in gaming intelligence and data analysis.

“We felt it was important to share state-of-the-art technology with the university and with students who are highly-motivated achievers,” said Henry Valentino, owner of eConnect.

“All of us at the libraries are looking forward to this great collaboration with eConnect,” said David Schwartz, director of the Center for Gaming Research at UNLV. “The first student, Courtney Nickson, has just been hired from an impressive pool of applicants.”

The new program allows one student to be selected, hired and trained each semester for the next two years. The eConnect Associate Analyst program will give students hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies now used by the biggest gaming companies in the world.
