UNLV’s Sports Innovation Institute has added an affiliate program designed to enable sports innovators to do their job more efficiently.
The university has extended its services to faculty and industry folks involved with research into sports and instruction. UNLV describes the mission of the affiliate program as “revolutionizing sport through innovation.”
“At the heart of our institute lies a dedication to championing innovation, fostering economic development, and elevating education, sport business, and sport science,” the school said in a statement.
Affiliates will be able to tap into a number of resources to help them research or teach in their field.
“We recognize the diverse range of contributions made by UNLV faculty and industry collaborators in the realm of sports.”
The school has two differing types of programs for affiliates.
The first is for affiliated scholars who dedicate their work to the study of sport within their field, seeking to obtain a wellspring of knowledge into sport.
“Whether you are conducting groundbreaking research or sharing your expertise through teaching, we invite scholars to join us in advancing the frontier of sport innovation.”
The other element focuses on the industry from sports technology to marketing. The profession adds to the “ecosystem supporting sports performance. If you are a part of this dynamic industry, we invite you to become an affiliate and collaborate with us to shape the future of sports.”
According to UNLV, the institution is all in when it comes to its commitment to “the future of sports in the world’s greatest sports and entertainment laboratory.”
The NHL, NFL, MLB and more all staked a presence in Las Vegas.
