Class II slot supplier Video Game Technologies announced it is expanding its headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, and adding around 100 new employees.
The supplier currently employs around 200 in positions related to software engineering, development, design and management. According to Chief Administrative Officer Doug Edwards, the new employees will mostly be product managers and software engineers.
“We built this building to house about 300 people and we have aspirations to get upwards of about 300 this year,” Edwards said.
VGT is also investing roughly $3 million to renovate and expand its footprint in Franklin, according to Edwards. That renovation is meant to “modernize and better fit our needs,” he said. “As a company we have grown year-over-year for several years,” Edwards said. “We continue to see that growth trend. We want to double the size of the company over the next five years.”
Founded in 1991, VGT has much of its footprint with Native American casinos in Oklahoma, but also has marketed its products in Louisiana and South Carolina.
