Environmentally-friendly design
Normandy-based Vikings Group, which operates 13 casinos in France, will add to its portfolio with a new casino in southeastern France, according to news reports.
G3 Newswire reports that the environmentally-friendly resort will feature a green roof and a wooden terrace and natural stone walls designed to blend in with the surrounding landscape. Set to open in late 2018 or early 2019, the casino will be developed on a 3.7-acre tract adjacent to Bois du Colombet.
The resort will include a 5,400-square-foot gaming floor as well as a theater, restaurant and piano bar. A hotel will be added by 2024. At build-out, the casino will represent an investment of €30 million (US$35 million). Stéphane Hourcastagnou will serve as casino director.
