French casino operator Vikings Group has announced it will undertake a major renovation of its Barbazan casino in France, adding new slot machines, a new snack bar and a new smoking terrace. The €1.6 million (US$1.76 million) renovation is due to begin in March.
Stéphane Rodier, general manager of the casino, will become president of the newly formed Barbazan Casino Operating Company to oversee the casino’s operation.
“We will go from 50 machines to about 60 slot machines,” he said. “The new machines will go to a smoking terrace that we will build during the works. Also, we will install an electronic English roulette” He added that the property will remain open during the overhaul.
