Wynn Palace Workers Stage Protest

About 130 construction workers from Wynn Resorts’ new megaresort on Macau’s Cotai Strip walked off the job and onto the protest line recently, saying they had been forced to work overtime without a guarantee of OT wages.

Some 130 nonresident workers from the Wynn Palace construction site in Macau staged a protest at the office of PRC Liaison, seeking intervention in a work dispute with the contractor, reported the Macau Daily Times last week.

The workers claim that they were forced to work overtime on the Cotai Strip site with no guarantee they would get overtime pay. The Labor Affairs Bureau announced that it would investigate the case.
