Wynn, SLS Las Vegas Projects Approved

The Clark County Zoning Commission recently approved an 86,502-saure-foot shopping center development at the Wynn Las Vegas and a three-story convention center and pool at the SLS Las Vegas. No timelines or budgets were announced for the proposed projects, but the regulatory approval gives the casinos the green light to move forward with their plans.

The Clark County Zoning Commission in January approved plans for a shopping center at the Wynn Las Vegas and a rooftop pool and convention center at the SLS Las Vegas casinos.

The Wynn plans an 86,502-square foot shopping center, which would be located in a two-story structure located on the southwest side of the Wynn Las Vegas casino, near its parking garage and north of its main entrance gate.

The shopping center is to have several retail outlets and restaurants for locals and visitors to enjoy while on the Las Vegas Strip. Casino officials did not announce a timetable for the project’s completion, but said it will enhance the visitor experience.

Slightly north of the Wynn, SLS Las Vegas plans to build a three-story convention center with rooftop pool. The casino wants to build a 52,000-square-foot building with the convention center on the first floor, meeting rooms and support services on the second floor, and a bar, restrooms, and pool on the third floor.

The new convention center and pool would be located near the center of the SLS in the courtyard area.
