The Wynn Las Vegas is opening a player-focused poker room, while the nearby Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino debuted its newly expanded SuperBook in time for Super Bowl Sunday.
Wynn Las Vegas plans a May 26 debut of its new Poker Room, which is located adjacent to Encore Players Club, Surrender, Encore Beach Club, and Andrea’s.
“We are excited to introduce an enhanced poker room and look to create the ultimate poker gaming experience at Wynn,” Wynn Poker Director Ryan Beauregard said. “The new room will incorporate carefully selected amenities specific to poker players that will set Wynn Las Vegas apart as a poker destination.”
The 8,600-square-foot poker room at Wynn will have 28 tables and special amenities for players, including USB ports for charging cell phones and electronic devices, dedicated restrooms, and a high-limit area.
The poker room also will have its own sports book window and 35 large-screen, high-definition televisions streaming live sports events.
Just north of the Wynn on Paradise Road, the Westgate opened its newly renovated and expanded 25,000-square-foot SuperBook, which is the world’s largest race and sports book.
The world’s largest race and sports book now has the world’s largest indoor LED video wall, which has high-definition video screens measuring 240 feet wide and 20 feet tall and capable of displaying several games in various configurations.
It also has 400 seats, 19 betting windows, and interactive wagering terminals, so bettors can watch their games and lay their bets with fewer and shorter lines, if any. In the race book, bettors can use 32-inch LED touch-screen TVs and USB charging ports at their respective betting stations.
The renovated SuperBook also has private rooms available for game viewing, an Ultimate Fan Cave with three giant screens showing up to 12 games in high definition, a fully stocked bar, and a deli and grill.
