The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas is making a play to attract more sports bettors by making them feel like they are at home during the big game.
The Cosmopolitan completely reworked its sports-betting operations, opening a new, 24-hour sportsbook that is closer to the action on the casino floor and more inviting to guests.
Its prior sports book was located on the casinos second floor, making it an out-of-the-way destination for sports bettors and little else.
The new Cosmo Sportsbook has a 23-seat bar and is situated on the casino’s first floor, in an area where its less-used slot machines generally resided.
Cantor Gaming, which operates several sportsbooks in the Las Vegas market, is in charge of the sportsbook and offers mobile wagering on races and sports, as well as mobile poker and casino gaming.
Casino officials say the new sportsbook is much more interactive, and is equipped with large, lounge-like chairs, and an LED video wall, patrons feel like they are watching the game from the comfort of their home.
The new sportsbook also offers a free activity area where guests can play shuffleboard, billiards, foosball, and other games.
Food and bar service is available around the clock.
