New Jersey reported soaring February revenue numbers for online casinos and sports betting, but a slight year-on-year decline for Atlantic City brick-and-mortar casino revenues.

NJ: iGaming, Sports Betting Up; Casino Revenues Down

New Jersey’s online casino and sports betting revenue continued to soar in February, but revenue was down slightly for brick-and-mortar casinos in Atlantic City, according to numbers published by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.

Online win for Atlantic City casinos’ iGaming partners was $182 million in February, a 27.9 percent increase over February 2023. For the year-to-date period, internet gaming win reported by casinos and their partners was $365.6 million, reflecting growth of 23.7 percent year-on-year.

Sports wagering gross revenue reported by casinos, racetracks, and their partners was $67.6 million for February, reflecting a 23.7 percent increase over February 2023.  Sports betting revenue year-to-date was $238.3 million, an 87.7 percent jump over 2023.

Atlantic City brick-and-mortar casinos did not fare so well. Casino gaming revenue for the month was $211.5 million, a 1.6 percent decline from February 2023. Only three of the nine Atlantic City casinos registered a year-on-year win.
