PA Regulators Will Hold Hearing on Valley Forge License

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has scheduled a public meeting for 10:30 a.m. on April 27 to hear public comment on the proposed renewal of the slot license for Valley Forge Casino Resort, which is now owned by Boyd Gaming.

The meeting, in the Upper Merion Township Building, will consider license renewal for Valley Forge Convention Center Partner, LLC, which operates the Valley Forge casino, a Category 3 resort-style casino.

Members of the public, local officials and representatives from community organizations are invited to either speak publicly or submit written testimony during the hearing. Those who wish to testify can register at the board’s website, gamingregulation.com.

Those looking to submit testimony can also do so by emailing boardclerk@pa.gov, or by faxing it to 717-265-7416.

A listing of all those from the public who have registered to speak during the hearing will be posted to the board’s website beginning April 20.

This will be the first of two license renewal hearings. Under Pennsylvania’s gaming law, the initial board hearing must be followed by a second public hearing at the state capitol in Harrisburg, during which casino representatives testify.
