New Jersey’s WSOP.com has reached a marketing agreement with the New York Rangers hockey club.
The partnership is starting off with the “WSOP.com Rangers Homecoming Sweepstakes,” which offers fans the chance to have a Rangers alumnus visit their home to watch the last regular season game of the hockey season.
Special offers, co-branded communication and engaging viewing parties will be developed for Rangers fans who reside in New Jersey, Caesars Interactive said in a press release.
Game experiences like pre-game penalty box access and tickets on the new Chase Bridges at Madison Square Garden will also be offered to fans at WSOP.com. Promotions involving the New York Knicks basketball team are also planned. The Knicks and Rangers both play at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
“We look forward to being part of the stretch run and educating tri-state area Rangers fans on this exciting new offering available to both residents and visitors in New Jersey,” said Michael Staskin, CIE vice president of marketing and brand. “We will show Rangers and Knicks fans just how easy it is to score from home on WSOP.com and CaesarsCasino.com.”
From March 23 to April 5, consumers can enter the “WSOP.com Rangers Homecoming Sweepstakes” that includes opportunities to win game tickets, autographed memorabilia and VIP experiences. Four lucky grand prize winners will have a Rangers alumni visit their home to watch the last game of the regular season.
As part of this partnership, CIE’s online gaming websites will also have a presence at Madison Square Garden, including branding on the center-hung scoreboard GardenVision and LED ribbon boards, as well as database marketing opportunities and website advertising.
Fans at Madison Square Garden, however, cannot make real-money bets at the games since online gambling at WSOP.com is only open to players physically located in New Jersey.
