Yggdrasil Creates iGaming Corporate Entity

Yggdrasil has created a new corporate entity as a parent company for its online and mobile game supply business headquartered in Malta.

Online and mobile casino game supplier Yggdrasil—a name from Norse cosmology identifying a mythical tree that connects the nine worlds—announced that it will create a new corporate entity for the Malta-based supplier, with a major development office in Krakow, Poland and a regional office in Gibraltar. The firm holds licenses in Malta, Gibraltar, Romania and the United Kingdom, and provides games for some of the world’s largest online gambling operators.

Yggdrasil Gaming announced that it will establish a new parent company and expand its office in Sweden. Yggdrasil’s existing corporate structure will receive the new entity to enhance the firm’s presence in the Swedish capital.

“We are hugely excited to be establishing a new epicenter for Yggdrasil in Stockholm, the hometown of many of our team and a key center of iGaming excellence, and we will now start recruiting,” said Fredrik Elmqvist, CEO of Yggdrasil. “With the maturity and consolidation of the industry in Stockholm, it is now the right time for Yggdrasil to enter the stage and provide something fresh.

“Yggdrasil has been acting as an independent company since inception; our rapid progress means it is important we create a corporate structure that will enhance our growth potential in the future, and aid our mission of becoming the best games supplier in the industry.”

Yggdrasil has also launched a new slot game titled Super Heroes. “The idea behind Super Heroes was to create a blockbuster slot title with graphics and animations that really make the player feel they are a part of the game,” said Jonas Strandman, the company’s head of gaming. “We are rolling out the red carpet for this launch, with a special comic book and network campaign tournament that will get players as excited about this new slot as we are.”
